And now here we both sit at the computers, when we should be fast asleep. Since it was fairly close to midnight we decided we better stay up and see this thing through. Lucky me, I noticed it was 11:59 and waited nonchalantly for the time to turn. "Happy December!" I said. Brian looked down at his computer to make sure it wasn't premature. Yep. I got him.
Now we can start using our cutest-ever advent calendar that we got at Costco a couple weeks ago. I'm soooo excited about it. It has little woodened decorations that go on the tree and around the roof of the house. It also has places to hide little candies (which I've already started doing). Let the Christmas season begin!

We got our Christmas tree this past Saturday, and I've been slowly decorating it this week. I got the finishing touches put together last night before bed. The room looked so cosy and festive I took a few pictures just to remember how nice it is. I'm glad I did, because the tree FELL OVER today! Yep. Brian had just walked out the door to work, and Samantha and I came back in after saying goodbye just in time to watch it topple over into the couch. Woops! We put it back up again, almost as pretty as the first time.

Oh Kam---I was SO DELIGHTED to see that you had written some more for us to read ...(and SEE)!! Thank you SO MUCH!! How fun to be a part of your life this way! Your dad and I sat and fead everything "from cover to cover!!"
I enlarged your charming Advent Calendar and saw its intricate detail, and enlarged your Christmas-y living room scene and imagined how wonderful it would be to sit there in that cozy room again...(and felt bad for you for your newly decorated tree falling over!) :( And I enlarged and printed out pictures of Sammie Sue and have a set all ready to take over to your Grandma Hone. We all just love all your writings SO MUCH!! Thanks for taking the time to share with us!! Love, Mom
I love it. How funny that you play that game. And that you got him! Your room and tree do look very cozy and very christmasy. I took your advice and we went and got our tree yesterday! We even put up lights outside. It definitely feels like Christmas. And Christmas definitely reminds me of having a baby girl one year ago on Christmas. Crazy.
Oh, cute advent calander too. I wish our Costco had that. Adorable.
Yay! I'm glad mom and dad "fead" everything. hee hee. And I'm glad Scott and Alicia got a tree! Let Christmas begin! We let Mauro and Larissa do the honors of opening the first advent box, since they're here.
